The Whippany Fire Department is hosting a blood drive on Monday, March 4th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at their firehouse located at 10 Troy Hills Rd, Whippany, NJ. The blood drive is being held in memory of Gary Letizia, a Whippany resident who passed away from leukemia in 2022.

Letizia’s son, Dr. Matt Letizia, will be on hand to speak about the importance of blood donation and how it saved his father’s life for an additional year. “Every drop counts,” Dr. Letizia said. “By donating blood, you can help save the life of someone you know and love.”

The blood drive is open to the public, and all blood types are needed. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, please visit http://nybc.org/letizia.
